Mohit Joshi is the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tech Mahindra, a leading digital solutions and services provider based in India. He has been with the company since 2011 and is a veteran of the IT industry.
Before taking on the role of MD & CEO, Joshi was the Chief Operating Officer at Tech Mahindra. He was responsible for driving the company’s growth and execution of its global business strategy. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of the company’s international business, which included the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and was the driving force behind the company’s success in India and overseas.

Joshi brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has worked in the IT sector for more than 20 years, including stints at IBM, Tata Consultancy Services and HCL Technologies. He has also held various roles in the Indian Government, including serving as a member of the Indo-US Working Group on IT and the Government of India’s IT Committee.
Joshi has been a strong advocate of technology and its ability to drive economic growth. He has called for the development of a digital India and has been a staunch supporter of start-up businesses in the country. Joshi is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. In addition, he is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. Joshi is committed to taking Tech Mahindra to the next level of growth, both in India and overseas.

Prior to this, Joshi had extensive experience in the IT sector and was most recently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI). Under his leadership, LTI grew to become one of the largest IT services companies in India and achieved a revenue of over INR 8,000 crore.
Prior to joining LTI, Joshi worked for many years at Infosys, where he served as its Chief Operating Officer, as well as its CFO and Head of Global Delivery. During his stint with the company, he spearheaded the development of innovative delivery models and strategies that helped Infosys become one of the most successful IT services companies in the world.
Joshi also has a strong academic background, having obtained a Ph.D in Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Michigan. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Throughout his career, Joshi has been recognised for his leadership and was recently awarded the “CEO of the Year” award by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM). He has also been recognised for his commitment to corporate social responsibility and was awarded the “CSR Leadership Award” by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
